Apply for the „Start Tel Aviv“ competition and win a trip to Israel
Embassy of Israel and ICT Hub are organizing “Start Tel Aviv”, a startup competition for companies from Serbia and Montenegro, open for applications until Jun 25. This year’s competition is dedicated to social entrepreneurship and urban innovations, and the project aims to motivate the startup community to use innovations to improve everyday life in their cities and to familiarize citizens with their work.
This competition, held in Serbia for the fourth time, is a result of a joint initiative from the Municipality of Tel Aviv and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel. Winners from 23 capitals of the world will have the opportunity to participate in DLD festival, the biggest international festival of innovation in Israel, held this year from September 3 to September 7. During their several-day stay in Tel Aviv, the winning startups will have the opportunity to meet with leading Israeli entrepreneurs, business angels, representatives of technology incubators and to learn about the inner workings of the famed Tel Aviv startup ecosystem.
All those interested can register their startup at this link by June 25. The jury of experts will select ten companies that will present themselves at the final event in Belgrade in early July, when the winner will be declared.
To be able to compete, startups need to present innovative projects form the field of Web, ICT and IoT, and their product or concept should be linked to social entrepreneurship and/or urban innovation. The seat of the startup should be in the Republic of Serbia or the Republic of Montenegro, and the startup should be in its initial stage with a developed prototype.
